Sean Pan
Managing Partner & CIO
Sean Pan is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Pan Capital, where he leads the firm’s investment activities across energy and macro markets.
Sean’s approach is grounded in deep fundamental energy research, with a focus on translating complex commodity dynamics into high-conviction positioning and capital allocation decisions. Under his leadership, Pan Capital has evolved into a multi-strategy platform spanning both liquid markets and real assets, with a consistent focus on navigating complex and cyclical environments.
Beyond public markets, Sean plays a key role in shaping the firm’s long-term strategy, including its investments in upstream and midstream energy assets. His ability to connect market insights with real asset opportunities underpins the firm’s integrated investment approach.
Prior to founding Pan Capital, Sean was Head Natural Gas Trader at GDF Suez North America (now Engie), where he managed the firm’s gas and options portfolio. He began his career working on LNG and power asset risk, building a foundation in physical and financial energy markets.
Sean holds an MBA from Rice University and is a CFA Charterholder. He is also the founder of the Pan Family Global Foundation, reflecting his commitment to supporting the arts and fostering cross-cultural dialogue.
Edouard Robbes
President & Chief Strategy Officer
Edouard Robbes is President and Chief Strategy Officer at Pan Capital, where he shapes the firm’s strategic direction and oversees key initiatives across capital formation, stakeholder engagement, and organizational development. In this role, he works closely with the firm’s leadership to drive growth and strengthen Pan Capital’s position in global energy and macro commodities markets.
Edouard leads strategic initiatives including digital transformation, market expansion, fund structuring, and talent development. He is responsible for aligning the firm’s operational infrastructure, culture, and long-term strategy while supporting the recruitment and development of key investment and business talent.
Prior to joining Pan Capital, Edouard was a Partner at Thalēs, where he focused on manager sourcing and capital raising. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Société Générale and AXA Investment Managers. He began his career in 2002 as a hedge fund analyst at SG Asset Management.
Edouard holds a B.S. in Economics and an M.S. in Finance from Université Paris Dauphine-PSL in France.
Ken Fu
Managing Partner, COO & CRO
Ken Fu serves as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Pan Capital.
With 20+ years of trading experience, Ken has specialized in natural gas and power markets, applying fundamental and quantitative strategies. His career includes senior roles at Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy (now Castleton Commodities), Moore Capital Management, Amaranth Advisors, Cinergy Corp (acquired by Duke Energy), and Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E).
Ken holds an MBA in Finance from Rice University and also serves as GP for Pan Capital’s Upstream and Midstream Funds.
